Good news, popcorn lovers! This beloved snack is loaded with cancer-fighting antioxidants called polyphenols – up to 4x more than most fruits! The movie theater variety is NOT HEALTHY, and we’re not advocating that you grab a tub as big as a European car on your ext date night. Making some on your stovetop at home, though, especially if you use coconut oil or grass-fed butter (in moderation), is A-OK. Do be careful of packaged microwave popcorns, though, as there is some real controversy about long-term damaged caused by added chemicals.
