This year, we’re grilling our turkey on our beloved Big Green Egg. How are you fixing your bird? The gobbler is rich in protein and related amino acids – there are 32g of protein in one 4 oz serving of turkey. Most of us know about the tryptophan content, and how it relaxes the adrenal system and lulls us into the post-Thanksgiving dinner food coma, but did you also know turkey is rich in selenium, which supports thyroid and immune systems? It’s also essential in metabolizing antioxidants.
