Holy shiitake!

Did you know a serving of shiitake mushrooms has enough Vitamin D as a glass of milk? When we’re in the doldrums of winter, it’s important to make sure we get a lot of Vitamin D in our diet because we don’t get as much sunshine. Shiitake mushrooms are great in eggs (egg yolk is another great source of Vitamin D), pasta dishes, stir fry, soup, and much more. We like to slice, sautee with onion and kale, and serve with thin cut pork chops.
