Community Cares Donation Days – Acupuncture for a Cause

On Thursday, July 3, from 9 AM-7 PM, Affinity Acupuncture will host its first Community Cares Donation Day, which will benefit the Nashville chapter of the Joshua Chamberlain Society. On that day, patients who receive treatment in our community acupuncture room can pick an amount to pay for their services, and an honorarium will go to the Joshua Chamberlain Society (JCS,) minus $5 to cover expenses.

Taking part in our Community Cares Donation Day is a way for you to show your support for our service men and women while taking care of your physical needs, as well.

The Joshua Chamberlain Society (JCS) is a grass roots 501 (c ) (3) federally tax exempt charity that was formed with the mission of providing long term support to veterans who sustained permanent combat injuries fighting the war on terror for our nation. It also provides long term assistance to the children of veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in our service.

The Nashville JCS chapter has made a long-term commitment to a soldier named Jeremy, who was wounded in combat and needs extensive renovations to his home. The JCS commitment to their heroes extends beyond a one-time act of charity; the injuries sustained are permanent. The Nashville chapter of the JCS will continue to support Jeremy as various needs arise. To learn more about the Joshua Chamberlain Society, visit

Affinity Acupuncture’s Community Cares Donation Days is a great way to improve your health and the lives of others. Community Acupuncture is a convenient, cost-effective approach to receive the benefits of an acupuncture treatment in a shared setting. In a community acupuncture treatment, acupuncture needles are placed in the arms, hands, lower legs, ears, and occasionally the face, as well. These points are effective in treating a variety of conditions, including allergies, anxiety, chronic pain, digestive complaints, and much more. Affinity Acupuncture’s community room accommodates up to five clients at a time; pre-scheduled appointments are recommended, but we can accommodate walk-ins, as well. You can schedule your appointment by calling our office at 615-939-2787, or on-line through our website at We accept payment by credit card, but we encourage cash or check payments to keep overhead costs low and allocate as much as possible to the JCS.

We look forward to seeing you on July 3, if not before then. Please be sure to Like us on Facebook at for any updates about the day, and Share the page with your friends to help spread the word.
